Control valves play a pivotal role in regulating the flow of hydraulic fluid within the system. They are responsible for directing the fluid to the hydraulic cylinder when the hoop needs to be raised or lowered. The valves must be precise and responsive to ensure smooth and accurate height adjustments.

A hydraulic power unit (HPU) is an essential component of electric basketball stands, responsible for the smooth and efficient height adjustment of the hoop.

It consists of several critical elements designed to work in harmony, ensuring reliable performance.

Pump:
The heart of the hydraulic power unit is the hydraulic pump. It is typically an electric motor-driven pump that pressurizes hydraulic fluid, usually oil, to create the necessary force for adjusting the height of the basketball hoop. The pump's capacity and efficiency are crucial factors in determining the speed and reliability of height adjustments.

Reservoir:
The hydraulic fluid is stored in a reservoir or tank. This reservoir is an integral part of the hydraulic system, as it provides a place for the fluid to return to when the hydraulic cylinder retracts. The reservoir also helps dissipate heat generated during operation, maintaining the fluid's optimal temperature.

Control Valves:
Control valves play a pivotal role in regulating the flow of hydraulic fluid within the system. They are responsible for directing the fluid to the hydraulic cylinder when the hoop needs to be raised or lowered. The valves must be precise and responsive to ensure smooth and accurate height adjustments.

Hydraulic Cylinder:
The hydraulic cylinder is the component that physically raises or lowers the basketball hoop.

It consists of a piston and a cylinder barrel. When pressurized hydraulic fluid is directed into the cylinder, it pushes the piston, extending or retracting the cylinder, and subsequently adjusting the hoop's height. The size and strength of the hydraulic cylinder determine the maximum load capacity of the basketball stand.

Pressure Relief Valve:
To prevent damage to the hydraulic system due to excessive pressure, a pressure relief valve is incorporated into the hydraulic power unit. This safety feature automatically releases excess pressure to maintain the system within its designed limits, ensuring the stand's longevity and safety.

Manifold Block:
The manifold block is a crucial component that connects the various hydraulic lines and control valves. It acts as a central hub, allowing for efficient fluid distribution and minimizing the risk of leaks.
